Independent movement

Fabric-wrapped coils can respond more independently than connected springs, which changes contouring and motion transfer.

Gauge

Gauge describes wire thickness. It is one design variable, not a stand-alone durability grade.

Zoning

A zoned unit changes resistance across regions of the mattress.

Coil count

Counts vary with mattress size and coil diameter. More coils do not automatically mean better performance.
